arm candy.

Excited that I received my Zuni bracelet in the mail from Jewelmint, I slapped it on my arm along with a bracelet that I was already wearing. I'm loving pop of colour the turquoise gives.

impromptu e-session.

After my cousin's wedding hair & makeup trial, we decided to do an impromptu mini e-session so that the makeup and hair did not go to waste. You can never understand what a photographer has to deal with until you're behind the camera. I'm sure that my cousin and her fiance did not know how hard taking pictures was until they had to stare awkwardly at each other and "pose" until their face was numb. Albiet models or photographers, it's not an easy nor glamourous job; so i definitely have to give credit to my fellow photographer friends where credit is due. Out of the 100 that was taken, only a handful was "good" based on my standards.

P.S. I told you i'd be back ;) HELLO mark if you're reading this!!

pantone inspired tarts.

I've been kinda obsessing over pantone colours lately and even had the liberty of mixing a few colours at work. When I saw these posted over at decor8, I knew that I had to blog about it! Whoever said food isn't art clearly has not seen these yummy tarts as Pantone color swatches. I definitely think that food inspires colour!

update...

I've been so busy lately with working on the invites for my BFF's upcoming wedding in June. After months of designing, hours of struggling to design a map in (mortal enemy of all Adobe programs) Illustrator, lost sleep over unravelling string, first degree burns from sealing wax...it's quite satisfying to finally see my vision and the final product come together. Yes, all 200 pieces of them!! Like a chinese sweatshop, we worked hard! Surprisingly, the guys had more artistic talent then I had thought. Here's a sneak peek, more photos to come!

beauty subscriptions.

I've purchased the Birchbox over a year ago, I've tried the Luxe Box and now most recently TOPBOX. I'm still waiting for my April Glossy Box to arrive. These are known to the youtube/beauty world as a subscription service for beauty samples. There was so much hype following the Birchbox craze and I just had to jump on the bandwagon. After a few months of subscribing to these beauty boxes, I started realizing that I was getting a bunch of items that I probably wouldn't and still have not used. However, at the same time I was able to try out beauty items that I would have never discovered otherwise, so it's really a pro/con struggle. I mean who doesn't like a box of beauty goodies arriving at their doorstep every month? There has not been a beauty subscription that I was fully in love with until now. It's been only two months so far and I'm loving Topbox!

Here's a peek at my April Topbox...
