macaron monday.

To satisfy my macaron cravings, i ventured to Nad├Ęge Patisserie @ Queen West. Loved everything about the stark white interior contrasted with the wooden floor. My favourite was definitely the salted caramel and the chestnut flavour. Although it did not quite compare to L'audree macarons from Paris, it was still the most perfect afternoon delight.

the perfect proposal.

Every girl dreams about 'the perfect wedding proposal' and I've warned R that whatever he does has to be spectacular in an understated kind of way. But when I read about this wedding proposal on SMP last weekend... it is literally the most romantic proposal i've read about to date.

eat. pray. create.

A layer of dust has been building up on my craft supplies. i haven't had any time to do any stamping for VERY long time. After seeing these adorable hand carved rubber stamps by eat pray create on etsy...especially the mustache stamp, i think it's time to dust off my crafting skills. Which reminds me that I've been meaning to try out some new metallic embossing powders that i've picked up in San Francisco. #ineedmorehoursinaday.

... in the rain.

it's been raining a lot lately. usually i would curse the idea of rain...but i've been finding it to be quite cathartic. until, i step outside that is. then there are moments like in this photo...where it makes me what to take a twirl in the rain. with a table setting and back drop that gorgeous, i would even consider dining in the rain.

pops of orange.

I've had shades of corals and oranges on my mind for spring/summer. I might not be brave enough to walk out in all orange from head to toe but in adds the perfect pop of colour. The beautifully lacquered orange desk by Milo Baughman is anything but boring.

off the grid.

Off the Grid is the coolest craze for foodies and I wish that we had it here in Toronto. Every friday, there a truck meetup of over 30 truck and tented vendors. For those of you that know me know that i live for food trucks/carts. I was on a mission and Off the Grid definitely did not disappoint. Such an amazing array of food, we stuffed our faces on korean tacos, thai chicken curry, satay skewers and finished off with a nutella and strawberry creme brulee. Sadly, the Chairman Bao line was too insane. I cannot wait to go back again in June...i plan on fasting before I go this time around.

citizen cake.

For the first time in what must have been months, I got to soak in some californian sun and truly relaxed. It was two weeks that was truly short lived. We slept in, no schedule or plans, did whatever we wanted on a whim and mostly importantly indulged in everything in sight. Oh, how I missed the freedom and the unusually perfect weather. We randomly passed by Citizen Cake enroute to Paper Source and decided the cute patisserie & dessert was too cute to pass up! Thankfully we didn't because the Mocha Mi Su and Salted Caramel Chocolate tart was absolutely sinful and I truly mean it...felt i like i consumed 5000 calories of decadent perfection (totally worth the calories though!) So good in fact, we got 4 extras to go, so we could share with R's friends.

oh baby!

I certainly do not have babies on my mind (i'm far from it) but all i seem to have been doing lately is buying baby gifts for mommies-to-be. So naturally, who could resist these cuties and these adorable hats by sweetpeatoadtots...seriously!

colourfully kate.

I can never resist entering a Kate Spade store. The colours and the energy, not to mention all the pretty this Emma by Jane Austin Clutch. Maybe books are becoming the new accessory. I can never walk out without falling in love with a thing or two.
