I nearly had a mild cardiac arrest when i saw the fabulous array of products offered at Anthropologie. One was this fabulous hammered gold gilded paper. It was beyond anything that I've ever seen, so I picked up 3 packs...the possibilities! Then there are the whimsy vintage stamps, pretty enough to make me want to write a letter. *pauses to sigh* My favourite and most over-priced purchase was the Histoire De France Book Box. I just could not, NOT get it. It's perfect in every sense...and yes i do realize that $70 for a fake book that does not have any pages in it...

thanksgiving long weekend part deux.

i'm off to San Fran for their thanksgiving weekend and my very first Black Friday madness experience. Let's hope that i make it out alive. I will be missing you.

copic ciao markers.

I'm rather excited about my new copic markers! I only got 18 so far but like everything else...i'll add to the collection (and i'm quite the collector). I cannot wait sketch and colour with my new pretty markers. I still amazed at how cool these are...and the things people can do with these on youtube.

the little brown card.

I'm working on yet another boring paper critiquing the ingenious design of the "little brown card". when the prof had told us to choose a packaging product to critique, i immediately that this would be perfect. But seriously, how ingeniously clever is this?

one line a day journal.

I've grown up keeping a diary, the pretty ones with a lock and all. I would write about my secret crushes, heart-aches and who I hated (I was a bit of a mean girl back then). Looking back, all those memories when I thought everything would be the end all of things...I was such a silly and dramatic little girl. Then in high school, I grew up and started a live journal; to which I hold so dear to my heart. I've made life long friends with some of my LJ buddies and even though i have not met up with everyone yet...but in time I'm sure we will ;) But there is nothing I like more then pen on paper so this One Line a Day 5-Year Journal seems perfect for jotting down thoughts and memories. Memories are memories whether they are good or bad. The idea that 5 years of memories can be kept in this lovely little book still astounds me and i look forward to it.

When I was younger, I did not have the appreciation (that I do now) for gold. Once upon a time in 6th grade, I literally cried for days because other kids got to rock silver hoop earrings while I got stuck wearing gold ones. The thought of gold made me cringe. It's funny how things work in life...because now I adore gold. Gold jewelry, gold accessories...even gold eyeshadow, my motto has become the more gold the better (tastefully of course!). So you can imagine my delight when I saw these gold office accessories...

IMATS toronto.

I had the liberty of attending for my first IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) this weekend and was super amped about it. I made my list of booths that I had to visit and even double checked it (i'm geeky like that!) Armed with cash, I actually set myself a budget this time around because the Mac Warehouse sale was too out of control, I was ready to shop!! The NYX booth was our first stop and it was insanely packed, I felt like a kid at a candy store minus the shoving. I love love NYX, everything about them. Their eyeshadows are aaamazing...incredibly smooth and pigmented. Their lipsticks, especially the Black Label ones beat the socks off MAC lipsticks...there I said it. I picked up 2 lipsticks in Extreme Red and Hot Pink and lip liners to match. Eve Pearl's salmon concealer certainly did not disappoint and one of the best I've ever tried by far. It was also kinda cool to catch her in action. Face Atelier's foundation is definitely holy grail material. I was excited to see Yaby's palettes and ended picking one up. Last but not least, the reason for the entire trip was for Hakuhodo brushes. I seriously DIE for these brushes. They are softer than anything i've ever felt and my blush has never looked better! All in all, I got to see everything I wanted to see and even my fav makeup guru, Kandee Johnson. I cannot wait to go again next year...perhaps the one in Los Angeles.

I cannot believe it's november already..and i seriously cannot believe i saw a few flurries of snow over the weekend. I'm so NOT embracing the colder weather with open arms, bring back summer please! There is nothing I like more on cold dreary days than to cuddle up with a cup of joe and blog. When I saw this print by Jennifer Ramos of Madebygirl, i just knew that I had to have it! The print is also available in a customizable version with any color choices (not silk-screened though) but i immediately knew that I had to have it in my beloved pantone 304. How perfect?!
