be still shop.

a great way to add colour and texture to any neutral space are with cushions/pillows. i heart these ones from the be still shop on etsy. i'm a firm believe in colour + texture! it can really set the mood/tone of a room and pillows can add that splash of colour and best part is that it's not permanent. kind of like what accessories are to fashion.

i'm off to the airport in a few hours to vegas & LA for the week. hopefully, there will be wifi. i'll be taking lots of pictures to post ;)

marchesa bridal collection.

Just as I booked my appointment at Vera, Marchesa comes outs with their Spring 2010 Bridal collection. Are you friggen kidding me?!! Seriously? seriously?!! It is not suppose to happen!! Every single piece is made to perfection and absolutely to die for!

p.s. i'm not getting married. i just so happen to have found 'the' dress...and now this collection is really making me doubt myself.

midori ribbon.

Restraint is unfortunately not my forte. I have absolutely no self control, especially when it comes to ribbon. Midori carries such a wide variety of ribbon in every colour under then sun. I can without any doubt say that I appreciate pretty ribbon + packaging more than what's inside the package. I've been loving the purple + gold combo...actually anything together with gold = love.

i left my heart in paris.

these lovely prints by Irene Suchocki brings back the nostalgia of where i left my heart. i miss the influx of tourists, wandering the cobblestone streets, buttery soft chocolate croissants for breakfast, people watching in a quaint café on rue bonaparte, the beautifully ornate museums and of course, macarons galore.

anthropologie shopping.

Yay, it's FRIDAY and therefore my thoughts might be random, so please bare with me. First of all, i know that Anthropologie is not something new but it is still relatively new to Canada it is so I always get excited when i go. I just love love their stuff. I had some time to kill before meeting up with a friend for dinner so I decided to randomly take pictures of some cool finds ( I wanted to take more but I didn't want to get the evil eye from the staff). I was floored when i saw some of the greatest literature's of all time in cloth-bound editions. *sigh* at the gorgeously embossed canvas covers as I ran my hand across it. If I loved them then, it only makes me love and want them that much more now. Aye! Then remember the post, where i fell hopelessly in love with this perfume bottle? I found a similar one at Anthropologie...it's not the from le grenier but equally just as gorgeous! My last find was this yummmy Voluspa Japonica Candle Tin in Santiago Huckleberry: sweet and spicy, with hints of vanilla pod and sugarcane. All in all, I heart anthropolgie!

How pretty are these laptop sleeves? I love the mix of textures, linen + gorgeous vibrant tapestry. It's padded with cotton and adorned with a lovely wooden button closure. How cute would you be to be toting your laptop around in this pretty laptop sleeve?! I'm sooo adoring these...

orten'zia by terzani

I came across these swoon worthy Orten'zia lighting fixtures from and nearly had a cardiac arrest because i could not (still can't) get over GORGEOUSNESS of it. The Orten'zia is designed by Bruno Rainaldi for Terzani. It is amazing that it is constructed with a series of metal leafs, hand soldered to compose the spheres and then plated nickel or gold finish. So shiny and sparkly, it would look spectacular in any room! Love it!

café culture.

The one hour I've lost from daylight savings is still taking a toll on
my sleeping habits, or perhaps i'm just tired and need someone to
blame for the lack of sleep. However, the plus side of all this is i get
to enjoy some daylight after work, so much that i even "considered"
taking a jog yesterday. Key word here is "considered" (because i did not actually go). My morning has consisted of green tea (coffee substitute), random sketching...more like doodling because i cannot sketch nor draw and catching up on my blog reading. I've been feeling so uninspired lately. After reading an article featuring indie cafes in Toronto...i feel the need to drag myself with my laptop and magazines in tow to a coffee shop bustling with people for some java-loving and a little bit of "me" time.

sunny days & a white dress.

The sun is shining and it's suppose to be a high of 12 degrees today. In Toronto, especially in March...this is rare. It's only thursday but I cannot help but have my mind on weekend mode already. The beautiful sunny spring-like weather; is too good to be true. My weekends are still unplanned but with the weather like this...who needs plans? Perhaps a stroll down Queen St. for some shopping, brunch on a patio or even coffee with a good book outside.

wilfred free.

One of the brands that I still love and have loved over the years is Wilfred. Their pieces are so simple and classically designed. I love the versatility of dressing pieces up or down with jeans. I've fallen head over heels for their newest line Wilfred Free. I'd like to think I dress for style...however, over the last little while I've come to notice that I dress more for comfort now. Relaxed tees, jeans and a great leather jacket are my staples. The neutral palette of the SS10 collection makes me excited for spring!

beauty junkie.

Like every other girl out, I have this OBSESSION for makeup. My newest guilty pleasure is watching makeup tutorials and product reviews on youtube. I'm a review-junkie, tripadvisor, yelp, makeup alley, PurseForum...you name it, i'm probably on it. After watching all the makeup hauls...i made a trip myself and added to my already-ridiculous-who-needs-25-blushes-collection. What made me a bit sad were my "limited edition" products as I cleaned/organized my makeup train on friday night. I'm reluctant to wear a swipe of my favourite Expensivo lipstick from Mac in fear that i will finish it. Even though my thumb of rule is "buy two of something if you love it"... this wasn't always the case. I'm kicking myself for not getting a double of my favourite LE stuff and have resorted to eBay (paying double/triple the price is NOT fun).

My favourite youtube beauty guru is Kandee Johnson, she does AMAZING makeup looks and is so darn cheerie! I just adore watching her.

Sea Unicorn fancies.

These necklaces from SeaUnicorn are so exquisite. How could you not fall in love with each and every piece? I had such a hard time just choosing which ones to post and which ones i should get (because really who am i kidding, i cannot resist). The vintage inspired photo styling alone is tooooo gorgeous for words. I love the fairytale inspired names for each piece like frog prince, three wishes, a chair for alice and unicorn tears, just to name a few...this is one of my favourite Etsy shops by far.

gold finds.

I've been on a bit of a jewelry binge lately and I love each and every piece I've purchased so far. I'm on this craze for brassy antique gold type of jewelry as you can see. I fell in love with this snake ring from Luv Low by Erin Wasson (heart her) that I think I can literally wear everyday because a) it's so me b) it goes with anything and everything. I always like to think about the versatility of a piece before I buy it esp. when it's quite pricey. In addition, I also got this long key necklace by House of Harlow 1960 which is great for layering or even just on its own. I've been on a search for a pair of pretty studs for quite a while now and today, I found these pretty peony pave post earrings at Anthropologie. Overall, I'm quite happy with my jewelry finds/purchases this week. Whether it's a $500 necklace or a $5 necklace from Forever21, i feel like i've striked gold!

Dreamy confections from the fall runways of Marchesa. Every season and i look forward to the Marchesa collection, because they are my favourite couture designers. They did not disappoint this season any less...with the cotton-candy like tulle and whimsy short dresses.
